At this time of year, it is definitely overnight. Let me splain ( as Ricky Ricardo used to say ) . Living here in Las Vegas, we are now at the time of year when outside temps are reaching 110 and above. Our inside temps reach about 85 even with the AC cranked full blast. So, for the next month or more, I now sleep during the hottest part of the day, from 12 PM until 8PM. Its not a bad thing though, because the three others that live here keep regular hours, which means from 11PM until 5AM, I am the only one who is awake, and I can indulge in whatever I like without any interruptions from anyone else. Not to mention that the AC at night will get us down into the high 60's inside, and it just feels great to get totally naked in that cool environment.

At other times of the year, there really isnt any preference, but I would still vote overnight, as that is always the time I can have my alone time. That is when everyone else sleeps, and no one questions why I close my door.
